Nuovo video per Umbrella Chronicles

Nintendo su WiiWare, codici amico, Retro e altro

Sui codici amico: :|

GS: Now that Monster Hunter 3 is announced as a Wii exclusive, there’s been some speculation that this game might be the first to “circumvent” friend codes, because it really hinges on group play, and friend codes can be somewhat unwieldy. Will there be some kind of solution to this?.

EW
: We’re still discussing that; we don’t have anything to announce today. But the way that we think about friend codes is, when folks are online, and they want to play, they typically want to play with their friends. And so, they want to keep it to groups of people they know. We’ve seen, in the feedback we’ve gotten, that people don’t mind the friend codes. They like them, because it keeps them playing with the friends that they do know, and it keeps their games “undisturbed,” if you will.

GS: Another WiiWare question — considering the Wii has a rather small flash drive, how many titles will it be able to hold? For example, even though Crystal Chronicles on WiiWare is not going to be large, it might be difficult to have even ten games of that volume.

EW: A lot of the games for WiiWare that have been submitted so far are smaller in size, so they’re not gonna take up a ton of your drive. But the way that we look at it is, we really don’t want people storing every single game they buy on their drive. When you buy a game, it’s yours forever, so you can delete it, and go back and get it at any time you want. In a way, we liken it to putting music on your iPod; you listen to it for a while, and then you get tired of it, and you pull it off, and you put some new stuff on.

GS: Can you say, at all, what Retro is working on now?

EW: I can’t. I can tell you they’re definitely hard at work, though! I just talked to those guys this morning, in fact, and they’re definitely hard at work. There’ll be some things coming out, for sure. They’re really excited about Metroid Prime 3; it’s doing well, and that’s a game that I think will see good sales through the holidays.

Certainly, the hardcore ran out and got it right away, and I think as fans start to see that game — and there are still folks coming to the Wii every day — it certainly hasn’t reached its lifespan just yet. So, I think as people begin to come to the Wii, they’ll see that game; and even new players can get into a game like that.

Samba De Amigo per Wii ESISTE!

LONDON & SAN FRANCISCO (October 25 2007) - SEGA of America, Inc. and SEGA Europe Ltd. are excited to announce that they are bringing back Samba De Amigo, the Dreamcast classic that helped to create the now-popular rhythm music genre. Created exclusively for the Wii home video game system, this vibrant and addictive new game lets players shake to the beats of a samba-infused soundtrack comprised of popular new songs as well as fan-favorites from the original game. Playing as the grinning, sombrero-topped monkey, Amigo, players shake the Wii Remote and Nunchuk like maracas, in time with the visual beats of the music on-screen. The perfect party game, Samba De Amigo is packed with lively stages and a host of colorful characters. More details about this exciting new title including a full song listing as well as new special features will be revealed over the next few months.“The Wii’s controllers enable players to enjoy Samba De Amigo’s unique gameplay without having to purchase an expensive peripheral,” said Rick Naylor, Director of Marketing at SEGA. “Between the music, the quirky art style, and the maraca-shaking players, Samba De Amigo is as much fun to watch as it is to play.”Developed by acclaimed developer, Gearbox Software, Samba De Amigo will be exclusively available for the Wii in spring 2008. Nintendo Magazine UK recensisce Mario Galaxy

97%: “It’s funny because the thing that annoys us most is that its fantastic graphics show us the sort of games we could have been playing for the past year had some developers bothered to pull their finger out. Throughout the whole game the graphics constantly amaze, with stunning visual effects, some remarkably huge playing areas, and characters that are positively filled to the brim with personality. The sound is some of the best we’ve heard in a Mario game. Some of the power-ups give a similar sense of nostalgia. While some of the missions are quite simple, others will test the skills of even the most dedicated Mario fans.” - reviewer Chris Scullion

Vendite mondiali Wii e DS

Scappate, ripeto, siete ancora in tempo. Fuggite, sciocchi!

Famitsu valuta male Mario Galaxy

Un pessimo 38/40 (9,9,10,10).

Dalla recensione:

Wii controls are great
Good pacing.
Truely is a game anyone can pick up and play.
Totally refreshing.
Difficulty and Maps balanced to perfection
The feeling of wondering what crazy thing the next planet will bring runs throughout the game.

Nintendogs: 10,10,10,10 -> 40/40.

Animal Crossing MMO?

“A Japanese source has confirmed to Edge that the upcoming Wii iteration of Animal Crossing is set to be a social networking MMO.”

Inaspettate nuove dal blog di Uh Matt

On another note, I just want to put it out there: Medal of Honor Heroes 2 officially beats the pants off Metroid Prime 3 in the FPS control department. This is the new Wii benchmark, period. Not even close. Seriously. Wait until you get a load of how beautiful the controls are -- I'll have a video for you in the near future.

Voglio crederci!

Anche 1UP per Zack & Wiki

Thankfully, Zack & Wiki is far more than the sum of its pieces, and it absolutely succeeds despite any minor problems. It's a huge world of wonderful puzzles to solve, with creative approaches to even the most mundane solutions; it's also a big game, and it goes on far longer than even the story would imply (though some people may never beat the last couple stages without assistance). Its biggest hurdle will be finding its audience, as it's the kind of game you don't know you're dying for until you play it (and its youthful aesthetic doesn't do it any favors). But it's worth looking into for every Wii owner, and if it isn't the best game for the system, it's at least the most "must-play" Wii experience next to Wii Sports. It's unmatched as a cognitively and creatively challenging experience, and just about anyone can pick it up and enjoy and appreciate it for what it does...even if they won't get very far.

Smash Bros Update - Bersagli e video

  • Story and characters aren't especially interesting
  • Sometimes grating voice work.
