Ecco l'estratto in questione:

We are really excited about the Wii game because there are so many options for the Wii remote. However, you will play the game with a guitar peripheral and it will be similar to a guitar you've seen in the past."

He also confirmed that Guitar Hero III on Wii contains features included in other versions of the upcoming game - such as online play and downloadable music.

Speriamo mettano Paranoid Android!

Sonic Rush Adventure su DS

SEGA ANNOUNCES SONIC RUSH ADVENTURE FOR THE NINTENDO DS

Sequel to Critically-Acclaimed Sonic Rush is now in Development

LONDON & SAN FRANCISCO (April 16, 2007) - SEGA® Europe Ltd. and SEGA® of America Inc. today announced the development of Sonic Rush Adventure™ for the Nintendo DS™ system. Sonic Rush Adventure will seamlessly utilise both screens of the Nintendo DS to navigate the high seas in search of pirate treasure, delivering Sonic’s classic high-speed 2D gameplay in the ultimate Sonic handheld experience. Developed by SEGA Studios, Sonic Rush Adventure for the Nintendo DS will be available in Autumn 2007.

Sonic returns to the Nintendo DS in an all-new frantic adventure complete with dizzying dives, near vertical curves and brain twisting loops. Sonic Rush Adventure will retain the DS action that fans loved so much from Sonic Rush™, as well as providing a new high seas adventure where Sonic clashes with ruthless pirates. Players will set off from Windmill Village as Sonic and blast their way through seven action-packed and widely diverse levels. Sonic Rush Adventure will make full use of the DS Download Play feature and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, which enables gamers to compete with friends in wireless racing and mission-based battles.

Guide Sonic through numerous action stages in the fast and furious single player mode, whilst collecting valuable items and materials that enable Sonic and Tails to track down the villainous pirates. With a fleet of up to five ships, including a submarine, water bike and hovercraft, Sonic Rush Adventure uses the Touch Screen technology in exciting new ways. Use the Nintendo DS Stylus to help control vessels as they race across the ocean gathering rings, performing tricks, and torching pirate boats, whilst engaging in fierce ship-to-ship battles. At the end of each level, epic 3D boss battles spanning both screens will test gamers skills to result in an ultimate showdown with the evil boss character, Captain Whisker.

Sonic Rush Adventure allows players to bounce, fly, swing, ride and run through grand environments of lush forests, an ominous ghost ship, snow covered mountains, pirate villages and a vast underwater sea cave. Along the way there will be a variety of enemy characters to battle against including robots, skeleton warriors, pterodactyls, and a robotic triceratops.

Nintendo Considering Online for Fire Emblem

Next title in strategy series could make the big jump.
by Anoop Gantayat

US, April 16, 2007 - Nintendo's Fire Emblem series has made its mark as one of the finest single player Japanese strategy series around, but Nintendo and developer Intelligent Systems may be looking to expand into new territory with the next title. Speaking with Dengeki DS & Wii Style (a young publication formerly known as just Dengeki DS Style), Nintendo producer Hitoshi Yamagami, IS producer Toru Narihiro, and IS "graphics chief" Masahiro Higuchi hinted that we can expect online components in the the next FE game.

Yamagami disclosed to the magazine that his team was originally considering Wi-Fi compatibility for the recent Wii entry in the series, Goddess of Dawn. Higuchi chimed in, noting that players would probably enjoy having maps and units distributed to them via online downloads. While some development was undertaken towards this end, Narihiro admitted that difficulties with balance and technology kept the feature out of Goddess of Dawn.

But the wait for online compatibility may not be too long. Yamagami closed off by stating, "This would be the first FE for the Wii, so we decided to focus on single player and held back on Wi-Fi. However, for the next title, if we have the chance, we'd like to use it."

While Higuchi mentioned downloads in his comments, Yamigami's mention of a focus on single player play suggests that Wi-Fi based battles are under consideration.

The three developers provided a few additional insights into the development of Goddess of Dawn. On the decision to bring the series to the Wii instead of the phenomenally successful DS, Yamagami stated, "The FE series began on the Famicom, so we'd generally like to release it on consoles. Also, it's a game with many detailed parameters, so we want to put it on a television. However, we do feel that the SRPG genre is suited for the DS."

Yamagami also fielded a question about the decision to not use the Wiimote's special control features. "At the start of development, we didn't know what controller would be included with the Wii. We began production by considering the classic controller default. Once we learned what would be included with the Wii system, we made it so that everything could be controlled with the Wiimote. However, we felt that controls like pointing and shaking of the remote were not applicable to FE, so we held off on it."

Based on the comments from these three, we're already starting to imagine what the next Fire Emblem game will look like. Of course, Goddess of Dawn was released to Japan a little over a month ago, so official details on the next entry in the series will probably have to wait.

Shares of Nintendo Co. surged to a record as JPMorgan Securities Japan Co. started coverage of the company with an ''overweight'' rating on its earnings prospects from the Wii game console.

The stock climbed 3.2 percent to 37,450 yen at the close on the Osaka Securities Exchange, the highest since the Kyoto-based company was listed in January 1962.

``The stock's rally reflects investors' positive sentiment about Nintendo's earnings,'' said Junichi Misawa, who oversees $655 million at STB Asset Management Co. in Tokyo. ``The yen's exchange rate has a big impact on the company's net income,'' contributing to the share gains, he said.

Nintendo this month raised its annual earnings estimate for the fourth time for the fiscal year, helped by sales of the DS portable player and the Wii console, whose sales outpace Sony Corp.'s PlayStation 3 machine by two to one in Japan and the U.S. JPMorgan analysts Eiji Maeda and Yuko Sekine cited ``strong'' sales of the DS and Wii for the rating, its highest ranking.

``We expect operating profit growth to remain strong over the medium term'' on the continued success of the DS and Wii players, the analysts wrote in a report dated April 13. The analysts forecast Nintendo's shares to rise 15 percent from the current price to 42,500 yen by April 2008.

Shares of Nintendo more than doubled in the past year, outperforming a 17 percent gain in Sony's stock.

Higher Revenue

Sales climbed 90 percent to 966 billion yen ($8.1 billion) for the year ended March 31, Nintendo said in a preliminary earnings statement on April 5. In January, the company forecast 900 billion yen in sales, of which 70 percent comes from overseas.

Net income beat earlier forecasts after a greater-than- expected decline in the yen against the euro and dollar boosted earnings by about 20 billion yen, Nintendo said, without specifying a figure.

The euro rose to a record 161.63 yen after the Group of Seven industrial nations stopped short of saying following a meeting on April 13 that the Japanese currency is too weak.

Nintendo has sold 2.04 million Wii units in Japan since its debut on Dec. 2 last year, Tokyo-based Enterbrain Inc. said last week. Sony has sold about 812,000 of the PlayStation 3 since Nov. 11, the researcher said April 2.

An ``overweight'' rating means JPMorgan expects the stock to outperform the average return of shares under its coverage over the next six to 12 months.
The broader Topix index gained 1.2 percent after the yen fell to a record low against the euro, boosting the value of exports to Europe.

Intanto godetevi i filmati e cominciate a prendere confidenza col gioco.
