9.5 Presentation
Phantom Hourglass presents a cinematic aspect to pocket games that usually don't receive such treatment. Both screens are used to their fullest, as is touch and voice.
10 Graphics
Impressive 3D mixes with great animation and an overall beautiful design. Simply stunning.
9.0 Sound
The score isn't as epic as previous Zelda games, but it holds its own, and is easily one of the strongest on DS. Play it with headphones.
8.5 Gameplay
Overall the game is entertaining, but the focus on touch-only seems forced at times. Item touch usage and boss battles rock, but the game is too simple overall.
8.5 Lasting Appeal
Most gamers will rip through it in 15 hours, with more for the side-quests adding up to about 20 overall. Multiplayer trading and battle is neat, but it's no Four Swords.
